Santa Clara, California to Yreka, California 7/23/2013

JULY 23, 2013 (Tuesday)

Got up and left around 9:30 AM. Arla had been up and working since 5 AM (yuck, poor thing), and Aaron had to leave when we did. Was sure good seeing them and the grand-puppies. 

We went down the street to McDonald’s and got breakfast and coffee to go, then off we went. Michael’s neck is still really bothering him. I’ve decided if it’s not better by tomorrow, we’re going to Urgent Care. Not like him to moan in pain so much. Also (being totally selfish), I don’t like driving so much, so we’ll get him drugged up and back in the driver’s seat just like most other California driver’s.

Got as far as Redding and I knew it was the last In N Out burger place for at least a month, so that was linner for us. Finally. I’ve been wanting it for over a week now. That was also a drive thru. We got as far as Yreka and that’s where we are tonight. We just used a coupon from one of those travel coupon books they have in rest stops. It was about $65.00 with taxes, Rodeway Inn. Not bad, pretty old, but clean and has air conditioning (100 degrees at 4 PM), and covered parking.
