South Point Casino – Las Vegas, Nevada 6/13/2013

JUNE 13, 2013 (Thursday)

Stayed up late (after 1 AM) in order to bid on 2 VIP tickets for “Defending the Caveman.” Michael has been wanting to see it for 30 years and particularly since December. He did end up winning the bid. (I sniped it with 20 seconds left) We’re looking forward to going to see it soon.

Had to get up early and go to Costco to get the tires rotated. They’re starting to show some wear. Might have to have the Prius aligned. We’ll see. After Costco we went to Marshall’s and looked around. We’re looking for new swim suits. When we got back from swimming yesterday, it was very noticeable that my bottom of the suit was almost totally worn through. I think that’s a sign of a new one being needed, or else I’ll be getting arrested for indecent exposure.

After Marshall’s we went to South Point Casino. We wanted to sign up for “The Club” to get discounts. Since we’re taking our nephew, and possibly his father,  to lunch there tomorrow, we want to make sure we have discounts. I think it’s about $2 off per lunch meal at the buffet. Works for me. Then we decided to have lunch. Good but we ate too much and waddled out of the casino (after I had lost $10 there). The club also gets us access to $4.00 movies before 4PM.

Edie really likes the metal silhouettes of sheep and horses in and around Las Vegas.

Talk about sticker shock, I am so glad I quit in 1986!

Drove home and now I’m dying my hair. Not sure what the rest of the day will bring.
