The Strip – Las Vegas, Nevada 6/11/2013

JUNE 11, 2013 (Tuesday)

Kind of a down day for awhile. It’s 8:30 PM and I haven’t done the dishes yet. I did manage to make the bed but it wasn’t until around noon. We’re retired. Things wait.

We lazed around, had breakfast, ate leftover salad for lunch. We decided to hit the strip at around 3 PM. The temperature was over 100 degrees but it was okay and we stayed in the Caesars Forum shops and Bellagio casino a lot of the time. Even managed to win a little money. Made up for the $5 I had lost at another casino off Fremont Street the day before. I was happy. The strip seemed pretty tame compared to the Fremont Street experience of last night, plus it was pretty early in the day. We were hoping to hit the Bellagio fountains but it didn’t happen this time so we’re gonna try again some other day.

From Bryce Canyon to the canyons of Las Vegas, interesting.

I think we walked about five miles between going through the Bellagio and Caesars.

Over the top...

The parking garage at Belliagio was full when we went there. You have to think, where does the money come from?

Just huge on every block.

Mountainous type resorts/casino's that shout money everywhere.

Opulent, extravagant, over the top, ostentatious, lavish, luxurious, all implying abundant plentiful money, (so go ahead, gamble a little, there's plenty).

After walking for what seemed miles, we left and I decided I wasn’t going to cook tonight so we went to Chipotle. Yummy, plus Michael has leftovers for lunch tomorrow. After dinner we went to Smith’s grocery store and got a few things we were low or out of (plus I have a sweet tooth and wanted some sugar).

That was our day. Hope yours was good.
