Today we slept in. We were tired puppies and didn’t even get out of bed until almost 10 AM. When we finally did pull ourselves together, we headed to the nearest McDonald’s (just a little ways away). It was really busy and there were no electrical outlets for our computers so we turned around and tried to find another place. We ended up at the other end of town at another McDonald’s. The only electrical outlet we could find was in the kiddie play area. We were able to easily get on the internet and do some catching up, blogging, facebook, TUG, and reading online while we sat and drank our coffee and ate our breakfast.

Afterwards we went to the local grocery store (Smith’s) and did some shopping. We talked about what we wanted to eat while we are here and went about getting the items we needed. We had to get back to our “home” before our groceries melted as it was 106 degrees today.

We stayed in our room for awhile and then went out to the Dollar Store for some small items we needed, and then we headed to a local casino for a little gambling. We were actually able to walk out of the casino with a little (very little) more than we walked in with.

In the late afternoon we went to the pool. We had to walk the grounds to get there. The grounds here are lovely. The pool was nice, cool and refreshing. While there we saw a couple wandering around with a laptop, looking for wifi. The front desk told us, and them, it was available at the pool. We commiserated with them, cursed Grand Destinations, and told them about the McDonald’s. After spending the last two weeks with heated pools, it was a little bit of a shock to get into a cool pool. It felt good, however, with the heat. Afterwards, we went back to the room and Michael made cabbage and corned beef for dinner.

Sunday night TV and then sleep.
