Reno, NV to Elko, NV 5/9/2013

We didn’t have any reservations, just thought we’d wing it and see how far we got. We ended up in Elko, Nevada at the Red Lion Hotel. We took Edie’s little laptop inside, went on line at the Starbucks just off the hotel lobby and got a room there for much less than just going to the counter and getting the rack rate. (We paid around $75.00 for the night, walk-ins were $140.00.) The room was clean and large. It was a long two story building and we were at the end, far enough away from the casino that we did not get the smell of smoke everywhere.
