Carmel, CA to Reno, Nevada 5/8/2013

Heading for Utah. Went on line and got a Priceline room at the El Dorado Hotel for $22.00 a night. When we got there, parts were under construction and the valet took our car after we unloaded what we wanted. Check-in was quick but we had to pay more than what we thought due to a “resort fee”(came to about $32.00 a night). The room was large and overlooked a lovely pool area. The downside, though, was the constant smell of distant cigarette smoke from the casino that permeated everywhere.

We went downstairs and had dinner. It was a lovely restaurant and not too expensive.
